A survey reveals young workers will move on if their manager is not dynamic enough.
The survey by recruitment consultants, Robert Half Finance and Accounting, shows Generation Y may stay in a job for up to two years if they like it, but if they do not, they could be gone in a matter of days.
Spokeswoman Kim Smith says the main reason the group leaves jobs is because they want to work for a manager who is inspirational. She says they want a boss who can lead and motivate them, as well as being a trainer and mentor. Low pay is another reason for quitting.
Kim Smith says statistics show Generation Y workers will have roughly 20 different jobs in their careers and change professions three or four times.
