Feltex workers are weathering the company's troubles, with staff at four of its New Zealand plants working four-day weeks.
Up to 800 employees at the company's plants in Foxton, Feilding, Lower Hutt and Dannevirke have been working the reduced hours for the past six weeks.
A company union representative said the situation was due to be reviewed after 10 weeks, but was aware it could continue until Christmas.
