New Zealand job vacancies fell 7 per cent in May from a year earlier, the sixth straight annual decline, says a government report.
Vacancies fell to 7104. For skilled workers they fell 14 per cent from a year earlier; for semi-skilled and elementary workers, 6 per cent; and for managers, professionals and other highly skilled workers vacancies fell 1 per cent.
The annual decline was less than the 9 per cent drop in April, the Labour Department said.
