Silver Ferns Farms meatworks at Waitotara is to take on another 100 workers to handle seasonal production.
The company will operate seven days a week from late November through to about May next year and a recruitment campaign has started.
The Waitotara plant, about 40km north of Wanganui, employs about 180 people and those it is targeting with the new campaign will work a new three-day weekend shift from Friday through until Sunday.
Silver Fern Farms wants the new shift operational by the end of next month.
