Christopher Luxon is set to replace Ed Sims as Air New Zealand's international airline group general manager.
Luxon joins Air New Zealand from consumer packaged goods firm, Unilever Canada where he has worked as president and chief executive for more than two years.
The 40-year-old's first day at the airline will be on May 30.
Sims announced last year he was leaving Air New Zealand after 10 years to pursue other opportunities.
