New Zealand consumer confidence rose to a 13-month high in September.
According to a poll conducted for Television New Zealand, 32 per cent of the 1200 people polled by research company Colmar Brunton expect the economy will improve in the next 12 months, up from 27 per cent in the previous poll in September.
About 42 per cent expect the economy will deteriorate, down from 46 per cent in September.
