Auckland property listings were up last month, but the number of sales dipped from the month before, said real estate Barfoot and Thompson this morning.
Peter Thompson, company managing director, said the Auckland market was in "a relatively stable period in terms of prices and activity."
The number of new homes listed - 1314, was up 4 per cent from the month before, while the average price of $553,765 was up 1.1 per cent from September.
Thompson said the average price increase was affected by strong interest in the high end of the market, with the company selling 60 homes worth more than $1 million during October.
Barfoot and Thompson sold of 727 homes in the month down 1.5 per cent on September but nearly 30 per cent higher than the same month last year.
