A team of Slovakian architects have designed an 'Ecocapsule' - a portable pod house designed to run off the grid.
Featuring a built-in kitchen with running water, flushing toilet and hot shower, the 4.5 metre pod is designed by Slovakian architecture firm Nice Architects to comfortably house two adults and is powered by a built-in retractable 750W wind turbine complemented by a 2.6m2 array of solar cells.
The dual power system also includes a high-capacity battery to ensure a power supply during periods of reduced solar or wind activity.
