Electronic Arts, the world's leading video game publisher, has announced weak fourth-quarter results, with profit taking a 90 per cent plunge. Results for the entire year, however, revealed a record-breaking US$3.1 billion profit.
EA remains confident about its long-term prospects.
The company, publisher of the popular Rugby series, says it has a strong lineup for the 2005 Christmas season, with a game based on The Godfather movie as well as new Harry Potter and James Bond titles scheduled for release.
