Department of Conservation staff have been told further job losses are possible as it enters another round of restructuring.
Staff would receive a restructuring document outlining the detail of the changes in March, DoC spokesman Rory Newsam said yesterday.
Just before Christmas, staff were told the department did not yet know the extent of any job losses.
"We will be looking at all areas of our delivery operations to see what efficiencies we can find before we consider staff or location changes - but we can't rule out job losses.
"The development of the new business model for conservation delivery may also result in changes to roles and the structure of operations teams."
