Businesses and exporters still have time to enter a prestigious international competitiveness competition, thanks to an extended deadline from organisers New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).
The entry deadline for the New Zealand International Business Awards has been extended from March 31 to April 14 in order to allow businesses more time to apply.
Tim Gibson, chief executive of NZTE, said the decision to extend the deadline is in response to feedback from the market.
"The end of the financial year is always a very busy time for businesses and we have received requests to extend the closing date. With the awards being in their first year, we want to ensure that companies have adequate time to get their entries in", he said.
The awards evolved out of the New Zealand Export Awards, which were last held in 2007.
