KEY POINTS:
CER Group, which makes natural products for the agricultural sector, has appointed former Sky City chief executive Evan Davies as chairman of the board.
In November, the company announced that Mr Davies had become a non-executive director.
Wayne Cartwright, the incumbent chairman, will stay on as a non-executive director.
He said Mr Davies' experience in taking Sky City from a start-up entertainment operator into a large, diversified trans-Tasman company was a key factor in the appointment.
Mr Davies said the appointment was in line with his long-held interest in sustainability, such as his chairmanship of the New Zealand Tourism Strategy Group.
CER Group owns The New Zealand Nature Company, a multi-channel retailer of natural products.
