Former All Blacks captain David Kirk has been appointed an independent director of sharebroking and investment company Forsyth Barr.
Kirk, who led New Zealand to their only rugby World Cup title in 1987, was most recently chief executive of Fairfax Media for three years.
Before that he had been chief executive of PMP Ltd, regional president Australasia for Norske Skog and in senior executive roles with Fletcher Challenge Paper and Fletcher Challenge Energy.
Dr Kirk was also chief policy advisor to former prime minister Jim Bolger for three years.
