Sir Selwyn Cushing has been invited on to the post-takeover Wrightson board.
Joining him will be Williams & Kettle's chairman, John Bayly, and its former chief executive, Gerald Weenink.
Wrightson needed Cushing's blessing - and his substantial stake in Williams & Kettle - to complete the takeover of the company.
Wrightson management always maintained the takeover was "friendly" and promised to reserve three places on the board for Williams & Kettle.
Wrightson now has majority control of Williams & Kettle, with a stake of 64.5 per cent at last count, but still wants 100 per cent.
The takeover bid remains open until March 11.
