Countdown for Pukekohe

Progressive Enterprises will open a new Pukekohe supermarket next year.

Construction of the 4200sq m Countdown has reached the stage where tilt slab walls have been erected.

Adrian Walker, Progressive's general manager property, said the store was being built in a Mega Centre and would open in January.

The new-format Countdown stores have a wider range of fresh and grocery items than those developed some years ago, he said.

About 30 per cent of the store would have fresh food.
