The world's richest people lost US$41 billion ($56.8b) as a result of Donald Trump's win, Bloomberg reports.
Trump's shock victory in the United States Presidential Election this week caused jitters in markets around the globe, with no-one quite sure what some of his far-fetched campaign promises are going to mean for them.
The markets are being hit the hardest in Mexico, where apprehension looms over Trump's pledge to build a wall on the US-Mexico border and to send Mexican migrants packing.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the 10 Mexican billionaires on the index dropped a combined US$6.5b, with the richest of them, Carlos Slim, losing $US5.1b.
US billionaires had the biggest dollar loss, falling US$9.3b as a result of Trump's victory.
