A Bentley worth around $100,000 was taken off a Waiheke-based company after it went into liquidation last week.
United Leisure Resorts Limited owed more than $500,000 to its creditors, one of which was supercar dealer Independent Prestige.
Liquidators were appointed to United Leisure Resorts on September 3. The applicant creditor, Independent Prestige, is owed more than $30,000 for repairs to a 2000 Bentley Arnage.
But after Herald on Sunday inquiries, this debt was paid on Friday and company director Brent Gibson is in talks to get United Leisure Resorts out of liquidation.
Gibson is also a director of two other recently failed companies, Ocean Pacific Investments Limited which is in liquidation, and Ocean Pacific Resort Holdings Limited, which is in receivership.
