Rising tourism numbers have prompted big changes to The Langham Auckland on Symonds St, re-branded as Cordis and launching plans for all 411 rooms and suites to be refurbished.
Robert Warman, Langham Hospitality Group chief executive, said the Auckland hotel's change would be the first time his group had brought the Cordis brand to the Pacific.
"Our plan is to introduce and grow the Cordis brand in this region, which is seeing increasing numbers of leisure and corporate travellers year-on-year," Warman said.
Cordis Hotels and Resorts is for "selected upper-scale hotels by Langham", the business said.
The hotel is also being upgraded, with a new look by interior designers, Space Studio.
