Vodafone has gained nearly 80,000 mobile customers in New Zealand since this time last year, according to the company's latest financial results.
The company had 2.48 million customers in the quarter ending March 31, up from just more than 2.4m the same time last year.
The percentage of people on contracts was also up, from 38.8 per cent to 40.3 per cent from the same time last year.
The company reported fluctuating mobile customers since March 2015 with the latest result being the biggest bump since then.
Vodafone's fixed broadband customers have also been increasing, from 412,000 in March 2016 to 423,000 in the latest result.
