Vodafone says a fault on its network that caused some customers in the lower North Island to experience complete loss of coverage has now been resolved.
Both 2G and 3G and customers in areas including Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Fielding, Hunterville, Marton and Otaki were affected.
The company said the fault was picked up at about 1pm, and that it appeared to have been caused by a damaged fibre cable.
Vodafone said the number of customers affected was unclear, given the intermittent nature of the fault.
