Telstra has lost an Australian High Court challenge against a decision that it has to share its copper lines with other phone companies.
Telstra had argued that allowing other telecommunications providers to use the local loops, which run between local exchanges and customer premises, amounted to a compulsory acquisition of its assets.
But the High Court unanimously dismissed Telstra's case.
