TelstraClear has labelled telecommunications reform introduced this week a "Mad Hatters tea-party".
TelstraClear joined a number of industry players calling for the Government to push back the February 25 submission deadline on proposed changes to the Telecommunications Amendment Bill and the possible separation of Telecom.
"The bill is set to fundamentally change the New Zealand telecommunications landscape forever. If we don't get this right, New Zealanders could be condemned to poor quality regulation for years to come," said TelstraClear chief executive Allan Freeth.
