Telecom XT outage fixed

Telecom said a data outage affecting XT customers in the lower North Island and South Island has now been fixed.

Telecom spokesperson Kath Murphy said some customers using mobile broadband on the XT mobile network experienced issues from mid-morning, but the service was restored by 1pm.

The company was working to fix the problem as soon as possible, she told nzherald.co.nz earlier today.

Telecom said it apologised to customers who were affected.

The telco was earlier telling customers who were experiencing problems, to disconnect and reconnect their device.
