Telecom says its online billing and accounts service Your Telecom is restored after a brief outage this morning.
The company announced on Twitter that there were "major issues" with the service and then tweeted 90 minutes later to say it was back up and running.
But Telecom spokesman Nick Brown said that the section of its website that allows customers to check their bills online was down for only 20 minutes.
"If customers needed to check something on their bill during that time they could still do so through Telecom's call centre," he said.
He said the outage was unrelated to the company's XT mobile network.
Telecom put its XT contractor Alcatel-Lucent on notice and forked out $10 million in compensation after its fourth network failure in February.
There had since been two further faults, in March and earlier this month.
