Speculation is mounting that Telecom could announce a replacement for chief executive Theresa Gattung as early as tomorrow in Sydney at its third-quarter earnings briefing.
A major shareholder told today's Sydney Morning Herald that chief financial officer Marko Bogoievski was "very much the frontrunner ... given that he is seemingly leading the company".
Analysts at major broker UBS agreed Mr Bogoievski was the favourite to take the top job, although they did not discount former Vodafone New Zealand boss Tim Miles as a possible candidate.
