Latest mobile customer numbers from Vodafone show Telecom continues to gain market share from the UK-based telco giant.
Full-year customer numbers showed Vodafone New Zealand had 44,000 additions in the fourth quarter for a total of 2.06 million customers. Total customers grew 9 per cent over the year but growth slowed by 26 per cent.
Vodafone's market share slipped for the eighth quarter in a row, to 52.5 per cent from 52.9 per cent, or 2.9 per cent for the year. Average revenue per user was flat for the quarter at $51.20, but down 2.4 per cent for the year.
Finance director David Sullivan said the company would disclose financial information to the Companies Office by the September deadline.
The parent company posted a year-end loss of £21.9 billion ($64 billion), attributed to a £23.5 billion ($69 billion) writedown of assets.
