KEY POINTS:
Telecom's chief operating officer of its consumer arm, Kevin Kenrick, is resigning, Telecom said today.
Mr Kenrick will take the role of chief executive at another New Zealand organisation in mid-December.
His departure follows the resignation of another senior Telecom executive, chief financial officer Marko Bogoievski, who was overlooked to take over from Theresa Gattung as chief executive.
Mr Kenrick joined Telecom in 1999 as sales and marketing manager for Xtra, moving into broader marketing before being appointed general manager of the company's mobile business in 2002.
"Kevin has made a strategic and valuable contribution to our company at a time of gathering regulatory, competitive and technological change," Telecom acting chief executive Simon Moutter said.
Mr Kenrick took up his latest position in 2006. His last day at Telecom will be December 14.
"Between now and then Kevin will remain focused on his important role and supporting the transition of our incoming CEO, Dr Paul Reynolds," Mr Moutter said.
Telecom will begin its search for a replacement early next month, after Mr Reynolds arrives.
