Telco problems delay sharemarket opening

The sharemarket was unable to open first thing this morning due to telecommunication problems.

A spokeswoman for stock exchange operator NZX said she was hopeful the problems would be resolved by 11am.

Telecom is the telecommunications service provider for the exchange.
