Talks offer welcomed

WELLINGTON - Telecom expects interconnection talks requested by Clear Communications to begin within weeks.

Welcoming Clear's request, chief executive Theresa Gattung said workable arrangements were needed.

Discussions should take account of the potential views of the Government's telecommunications inquiry. "I am keen ... to look at the parts of the current agreement that are causing concern and to see how we can resolve these."
