Australian Finance Minister Nick Minchin says the federal government is on track to sell its remaining stake in Telstra later this year.
Mr Minchin says Cabinet has signed off on continuing with the sale process.
But he has told Channel Ten it is unclear whether the government will sell all or part of its Telstra shares.
"We are on track to conduct a retail offering in October, November this year," he said.
"We're still aiming at that, and I'm confident we will have a retail offering whether it's for all or part of our shares.
"We'll judge closer to the time, depending on demand and obviously the regulatory issues that are currently in play."
