Experienced business leader Rob McLeod is quitting his position in the Telecom boardroom to take the reins at accountants Ernst & Young.
McLeod will join the international firm next month as managing partner (New Zealand).
Telecom chairman Wayne Boyd today paid tribute to McLeod's time with the telco.
"We acknowledge his excellent contribution to the board, and in particular his work as Chair of Telecom's audit and risk management committee", he said, wishing McLeod well in his new role.
Chair of the New Zealand Business Roundtable, Mr McLeod is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars throughout New Zealand. He was this year also appointed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the board of Asia 2000.
Ernst & Young's current managing partner John Judge is retiring from the firm at the end of June.
