Porter Novelli's Sarah Newcombe has been announced as Vodafone's new head of corporate communications, replacing Paul Brislen who left the role last year.
Vodafone spokesperson Matt East said Newcombe was a "natural fit" for the team after covering the role part-time for the last three months.
Brislen resigned in October, after he was offered the role of chief executive at telecommunications users' lobby group TUANZ.
East said Newcombe comes to Vodafone with 14 years' experience in the public relations industry, much of that working in the telco industry.
Vodafone has been one of Newcombe's key clients in the five years she has worked as a senior account director at Porter Novelli.
She has also held roles in Clear Communications and BT in the UK.
Newcombe starts the role on April 11.
