Mobile content company Plus SMS has announced that it has signed a call option agreement to acquire a Thai connectivity and software provider.
GamEd Software Company develops mobile and web-based information and entertainment services. It promotes various commercial services, specialising in the financial and entertainment sectors, through its own online internet communities.
Plus SMS said GamEd and its subsidiary CRE8 had been working together for several months.
GamEd had developed a multi-language version of a Microsoft Windows service for mobile services which Plus SMS plans to launch in the region soon.
Plus SMS chief executive Christopher Tiensch said that "with its high growth and relatively low mobile penetration, the Asia-Pacific region is critical to CRE8's expansion plans".
