The Commerce Commission has rejected calls by TelstraClear and Vodafone for a lengthier process in reconsidering a ruling on mobile termination rates.
The companies had asked the commission to hold a new conference for market participants on the rates before it issues a final determination. But the commission said yesterday that it did not expect a conference would be required.
It plans to have its revised determination ready by the end of the year. Communications Minister David Cunliffe had asked it to reconsider several details.
