Netflix has created an internet speed test site, making it easier for people waiting for their video to buffer to check how good their home broadband is.
Netflix launched Fast.com this week. The website allows internet users to quickly and easily check their download speeds in real time.
"We all want a faster, better internet, yet internet speeds vary greatly and can be affected by other users on your network or congestion with your internet service provider," David Fullagar, vice president of content delivery architecture at Netflix, said in a blog post.
The tool could make the wait to be connected to the fibre network seem worthwhile, once people see their download speeds go through the roof.
On the other hand, it will infuriate those people in areas that won't be connected to fibre for another year and find their speeds lagging below 10mbps.
