Telecom has added Wairarapa to its list of regions affected by XT disruptions.
Earlier today the company announced it was having more problems with its troubled XT mobile network.
The company posted on Twitter at 10.30am that it was fixing problems affecting the lower North Island.
"We're aware some customers in New Plymouth & Upper Hutt may be experiencing XT service issues. Techs working hard to restore full service," it said.
The company issued an update at 12.30pm, saying issues were resolved in New Plymouth but Wairarapa was also affected.
"As you know we've had some performance issues in NP, Upper Hutt, additionally in Wairarapa .. New Plymouth sites have now been restored," a Telecom Twitter post said.
Meanwhile, Telecom is investigating allegations that someone from its customer support centre sent a Wanganui woman a text saying "F*** you" after she complained about delays in her cellphone service.
Spokesman Mark Watts said the company would not confirm nor give details about the incident until investigations were completed.
"We are still digging to get to the bottom of it. We would not tolerate any of our people talking to any of our customers that way."
Wanganui mayor Michael Laws yesterday brought up the issue on radio, saying Telecom's response to its ongoing service problems had been "abysmal".
The XT network has suffered several outages since its launch last August.
Thousands were disconnected in January, and earlier this week a fault saw customers south of Taupo lose service for seven hours. Telecom blamed an "unusual" pattern of text messaging traffic for the disruption.
Telecom is offering $5 million in compensation to customers affected by outages in December and January.
