Telecom's jetstream and related bundled services are being investigated by the Commerce Commission, the watchdog said today.
Commission spokeswoman Jackie Maitland said the investigation started this week after a tip-off to its call centre.
She said the commission had also collected information on the matter.
The investigation was looking at the bundled discount of jetstream with Telecom tolls, the reduction in Xtra ISP charges, the price of jetstream for resale and the price of UBS.
Jetstream is Telecom's high speed Internet service, while UBS is its unbundled bitstream service.
The investigation is being conducted under the Commerce Act rather than the Telecommunications Act, Ms Maitland said.
At 2.30pm, shares in Telecom were up 17c at $6.17, their highest level since early August. The shares have ranged between $5.05 and $6.27 in the past year.
