When the North Island communications outage brought sharemarket trading to a halt at NZX this morning, a very limited amount of financial information was made available to news organisations.
The NZSX 50 Gross Index was up five at 3186.
Feltex was down 20 to 50 cents on the back of a negative profit warning, while Telecom was up one to $6.14.
The New Zealand dollar is worth 71.62 US cents, 92.14 Australian cents, 77.94 yen, 39.22 pence and 58.65 euro cents.
The 90 day rate is 7.08 per cent and the TWI is on 71.54.
