Cellnet hires former Tranz Rail executive

Listed Australian technology firm Cellnet has appointed Mark Bloomer as its chief financial officer.

The former Tranz Rail senior executive was investigated in New Zealand's biggest insider trading case. Bloomer agreed to pay a $156,000 fine without admission of liability.

Cellnet chief executive Adam Davenport said "the matters were disclosed to us and we are very comfortable with Mr Bloomer's credentials".
