Cabletalk Group yesterday reported a net profit of $1.22 million for the half year to September, up from $1.17 million previously. The earlier result included three months' worth of revenue from a $37 million a year servicing contract with Telecom, which ended in June 2004.
The higher profit was booked despite a 25.2 per cent fall in revenue to $19.7 million, reflecting the loss of the Telecom business. No interim dividend was declared, but the company expects make an annual payment.
