New mobile operator 2degrees says 75,000 customers have now switched to its network, from an existing network using number portability since its launch last year.
A total 122,325 ports (changing providers but keeping your number) were made in to the year ending May 2010, with 61 per cent of those ports being made to 2Degrees, figures from the Telecommunications Carriers Forum show.
Of the 2Degrees porters, about 80 per cent came from Vodafone.
Last month alone there were 10,116 ports with more than half of those ports people bringing their number to 2degrees, the telco said.
