Scotch whisky exports are headed for record sales, boosted by strong demand from status-conscious connoisseurs in new markets in China, India, Russia and Brazil. Global exports rose by 12 per cent in the first 10 months of 2010, and are on track for a bumper year. Shipments soared to £2.8 billion ($6.11 billion) for the period.
