Unrealised losses in Salvus Strategic Investments' portfolio caused the company to report a loss of $2.7 million in the year to June 30.
The loss compared with a profit of $7.7 million in the same period last year.
The audited net asset value per share of the company's portfolio fell 14.3 per cent over the period compared with a fall of 20.4 per cent for the benchmark NZX SmallCap Capital Index.
The board declared a fully imputed final dividend of 2.5c per share payable on October 24.
