Wrightson Finance, a unit of Wrightson Ltd, said it was considering issuing $40 to 60 million of retail bonds.
It had appointed ABN Amro Bank ABN Amro Craigs as joint managers.
Wrightson Finance chairman Craig Norgate said the funds would be used to grow the company's asset base, which is expected to exceed $80 million by the second half of this year.
A prospectus will be launched in the second half of this year.
