KEY POINTS:
United States firm Hill Phoenix of Virginia has placed orders for 70,000 high-efficiency motors from Wellington Drive Technology's ECR range, the company said yesterday.
The motors will be used in Hill Phoenix's refrigerated display case products sold to major retail chains, mainly in the US.
Greg Weddle of Hill Phoenix said high-efficiency motors had become a requirement in the industry.
WDT shares were unchanged on 48c.
