New Zealand's leading consumer electronics and appliances retailer Noel Leeming is preparing for Christmas with executive general manager of merchandise Jason Bell expecting a 400 per cent increase in sales within the wearables category.
Here are Noel Leeming's expected top ten Christmas gadget gifts:
• Remote controlled helicopters and drones. Two of the top selling models shoot missiles or spray water. Drones are also growing in popularity as the perfect gift for that hard to buy for person, with a range of models available priced from $299 to $2599 there is models to suit all experience levels.
• With Kiwis' health obsession only getting stronger, smoothie blenders such as the Nutri Ninja blenders are expected to appear under many trees this Christmas. Said to release the highest amount of goodness from fruits and vegetables and increase your daily intake of nutrients and minerals, you can blend and drink your creations in the same jar and take it with you wherever you go.
• Nespresso coffee machines are expected to be another top selling Christmas gift and pod coffee still dominates the coffee market. The popular Nespresso Inissia is available in an array of colours.
• Wearables will continue to fly off the shelves with Fitbit continuing to dominate Christmas lists with its Fitbit Charge HR, as will the Apple Watch and Huawei Watch released to the Kiwi market earlier this year.
