Cycle and camping chain Pack & Pedal and games station retailer Central Park Interactive have gone into receivership.
The nine Pack & Pedal stores in Auckland, Tauranga, Palmerston North and Wellington, which employ 74 staff, shut on Friday while the receivers carry out an assessment of the business and explore sale options.*
The12 Central Park Interactive stores in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin closed on Friday with the loss of 71 full-time and part-time jobs.
Auckland publisher Barry Colman's Liberty Holdings acquired full ownership of the two retail chains in March last year.
