A bird's eye view of New Lynn's revamped LynnMall Shopping Centre shows new cinemas on the left, dining lane The Brickworks at bottom right and Great North Rd winding around from the far right towards the centre, with the Waitakere Ranges in the background.
The Merchant Quarter apartment tower stands in the centre. Work by listed owner Kiwi Property is nearing completion. On November 5, the dining lane will open with a new lineup of restaurants and cafes.
Around the middle of next month, the new eight-screen Reading Cinemas will open. That will include the 400-seat Titan cinema with state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos surround sound system.
The revamp on the centre - which was New Zealand's first shopping mall, opening in 1963 - has cost $39 million.
