Pharmacy chain owner Life Pharmacy posted a first half net loss of $449,000, reversing a profit of $374,000 a year earlier.
Revenue for the six months to September rose 16 per cent to $2.99 million.
Operating expenditure rose by $1.4 million to $3.7m, mainly due to the launch of a loyalty card, while the opening of new stores and a softer retail sector also weighed on the result, the company said.
The company said it will not pay a dividend.
