Are you generally frugal with your spending or do you consider yourself a big spender?
Frugal on myself and big spender on the family. The big screen TV is for the kids of course.
Do you like shopping? If so what do you like to spend your money on? If not what do you dislike about it?
Having started my career in retail I can't help but critique every store on ideas and service standards. So yes I enjoy it but shopping for clothes can be a challenge as I am quite tall.
Can you recall an experience (good or bad) from your youth that taught you something important about the value of money?
My brother saved his pocket money to get one of the first Walkmans on the market. When I asked my parents why I didn't have one, their answer taught me a lot - including that my brother is and always will be better with money than me.
Do you have a piece of advice or a favourite quote about money for those just starting out.
This is the time of year when we should remind ourselves that money isn't everything. Family, health, friends and happiness are far more important. We can talk about money again in the new year.
